La Ruta (Reading)

Back at my 2nd home (aka Primary Stages) for a reading of Isaac Gomez's gorgeous, devastating LA RUTA this Tuesday Oct 10th at 6:30 PM.

ABOUT LA RUTA:

The desert is hiding many secrets…some of them buried in the sand. Pulled from real testimonies, La Ruta follows two mothers searching for their missing daughters and the dark truths that surround them. Set in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico, a city plagued by the unsolved murders of hundreds of women, this play with music examines a community of women attempting to live in the wake of unspeakable loss.

More Ghosts??

I just had an amazing week working on Matthew Paul Olmos's latest play: So Go The Ghosts of Mexico Part 3. It's part of a stunning three play cycle about the US's involvement in the drug violence in my home country. Led by the incredible Rachel Chavkin with the support of New Dramatists, we were able to really dive in and explore Matthew's beautiful work.
